Do you think that you have to DO something in order to have what you want?
I know I sure did!
The idea that you have to work really hard, do stuff you hate and push on through in order to have what you want is one of the biggest lies we tell ourselves.
It’s so embedded in our culture, that we wear our busy-ness like a badge of honor.
We’ve taken on the notion that the only way to have what we want is to go out and work really hard for it.
The worst part is much of the time we’re working hard doing things we really don’t feel like doing, but we think we HAVE TOO. No wonder so many people are miserable and dis-satisfied with their lives.
Action is necessary when it comes to creating what you want, but all action isn’t created equal!!
Being busy doing things you think you need to/have to do is very different than being busy doing things you WANT to do.
I know….the idea of only doing what you want to do seems risky….like you’re going to end up on the couch eating bon-bons all day and never get anything done, but that’s not the case.
I’ve got evidence to prove it!
In this episode of the Wisdom Collective I speak from my own experience of sitting on the couch eating Bon-Bons, and what I learned when I explored my relationship with DOing.
And I invited my awesome friend Frank Butterfield to join me in this discussion because he was a big part of my DOING light bulb moment.
We explore the drive to “be busy” and the most effective way to have what you want. (It doesn’t include pushing through or working more hours.)
- The exquisite freedom in removing the conditions of having to DO before you can Have what you desire.
- Understanding your own relationship to doing.
- Reaction and knee jerk action vs inspired action (The best description of inspired action yet!)
- The importance of being busy doing what you enjoy…like driving or pottery…so you don’t get busy DOING things you think you have to so you can have what you want.
You can learn more about Frank Butterfield and the Communion of Light here.
Frank is a Master Channel who translates the delicious freedom vibrations of Paul & The Communion of Light. He’s been doing this since 1990 and loves every minute of it!
I have to say that I can’t get enough of his material. He’s become my favorite source for tapping into the collective consciousness and divine wisdom. If you like Abraham -Hicks…you’ll love his stuff.
